Continuing Education Opportunities

There are a number of ways to earn continuing education (CE) contact hours through AANN as well as through AANN-endorsed activities.

Offered by AANN

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) is accredited as a provider and approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

The American Association of Neuroscience Nurses is accredited as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CEP:13331)

Attendees can earn 1 CE contact hour for every 60 minutes of educational content they attend [or view] and evaluate.

Neuroscience Advanced Practice Provider Educational Conference (Neuro-APP)

The Neuroscience Advanced Practice Provider Educational Conference offers a number of CE and pharmacology contact hours for attending sessions and pre-conference sessisions. Examine emerging guidelines and treatment modalities for a variety of neuroscience conditions that affect adult and pediatric populations. 

Annual Educational Conference

The AANN Annual Educational Conference offers a number of CE contact hours for attending sessions, symposia, and pre-conference sessions, and for evaluating posters.

Stroke Care Conference

The AANN Advances in Stroke Care Conference is a great opportunity to elevate your stroke care practice while earning CE.

International Neuroscience Nursing Research Symposium (INNRS)

If you conduct, carry-out, or care for patients in, neuroscience research studies, you will be engaged and inspired by attending INNRS.

Journal of Neuroscience Nursing CE articles

The Journal of Neuroscience Nursing offers CE contact hours through the publisher’s NursingCenter. Each online article with posttest provides 1 contact hour, free to AANN members with a discount code. These contact hours are good toward neuroscience nursing certified neuroscience registered nurse (CNRN) recertification hours or any ANCC certification.

Clinical Practice Guidelines

CE contact hours are available for passing online exams for certain guidelines in the AANN Clinical Practice Guideline series. These exams are free to AANN members.
