Location: Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, CA 

The AANN Nursing Leadership Symposium is for aspiring or established leaders. Those who attend will develop their personal leadership skills as well as learn how to promote and recognize the value of those with whom they work. This symposium will focus on leadership styles, empowerment, conflict resolution and ongoing engagement as a leader. Earn up to 13.25 CE contact hours!

All current and aspiring leaders of the Tri-Board, Chapters, and Committees will benefit from this symposium. Attendance will help you develop personal and professional leadership skills with an emphasis on becoming a leader within AANN, ABNN, and AMWF. Grants will be available from AMWF and AANN to support the registration fee for this symposium.

• Develop the skills of inclusive leadership.
• Recognize how to exert the power of one’s own voice.
• Discuss the value of authenticity in leadership.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally.
• Respond to issues of conflict and confrontation.
• Describe how to stay involved as a leader.
